5 Reasons Why Your RFP Sucks
“Target Audience: The target audience will be visitors of the [location].”
What’s wrong with this?
We’ve got a poll up on the idNerd age about Request for Proposals (RFP). For me, I think RFPs can be really helpful in letting agencies know there’s a project to sink their teeth into. But, more often than not, they’re terribly written!
Here’s my take on why your RFP might suck – and what you can do to improve it. ✨
Why Gaming is a Gamechanger for Marketers
Tell me if someone ever said this kinda stuff to you when you were growing up...🙋
🚩 Stop spending so much time in front of the screen! Your eyes will turn SQUARE... (T_T)
🚩 Can't you find something more PRODUCTIVE to do? 🙄
🚩 You're WASTING your time with games - go back to studying for that Math test with those quadratic equations you will NEVER EVER use in the real world..... 👉👈
Thankfully, I've been cut some slack with my gaming habits since I was a teenager.
And there have also been numerous studies and Ted x talks that have shared the benefits of gaming – in education and problem-solving, engineering, architectural design and more. So take that, mom!
But, as an avid gamer, and with the perspective of a marketing and animations studio director, I wanted to add to the discussion.
Read how I think gaming (design and mechanics) can influence the future of marketing and advertising here.

One of my passions – both personally and professionally – is interactive art. idNerd has an entire lab team that works on interactive art concepts for OOH advertising and art installations.
We love the idea of an art show that doesn’t distance the artist from the visitor, i.e. where the visitor becomes a participant or even a pivotal piece of the art form.
But I wanted to know where the concept came from and how it’s evolved. So I did a little research.
If you’re interested in learning a little bit about interactive art, too, please read my latest article. Did I miss anything? It would be great to hear what you think about the past, present and future of interactive art.
